Matthew O. Adewumi, a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He joined the University of Ilorin in April 1987 as a Research Technologist and was later converted to the position of an Assistant Lecturer. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics. He was an Acting head of the Department for five years and a Substantive Head for three years.
He is one of the Editors of the Agrosearch the maiden Journal of the Faculty, a founding member of the Society of Medicinal Plant and Economic Development, and the Journal of the Society. He was a grant awardee of the African Economic Research Consortium, the Association of African Universities, the Volkswagen Company in Germany, and the Inter Region Economic Network, Kenya. He is a member of many Professional Associations, and a Consultant to State, National, and International Organisations. He collaborates with colleagues within and outside the country. He is a reviewer of many journals within and outside the Country. He has published over seventy articles in reputable journals. He has successfully supervised twelve PhD students.
