Abraham Falola is a Reader in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management of the University of Ilorin with 15 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience. He hails from Osun State, Nigeria.
He is the current Deputy Project Manager, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the University of Ilorin. He has also served as the Deputy Director (Academic) at the Centre for Open and Distance Learning, Acting Head of his department, member of the University Admissions Committee, Certificate Screening Committee, and e-learning Committee, among others. His research focuses on agricultural production and welfare economics, with interests in productivity and efficiency analyses, digital agriculture, agricultural and nutrition security programmes, and vulnerable groups.
He has published over one hundred peer-reviewed articles in journals, edited conference proceedings, and written book chapters. He has successfully supervised many Master’s dissertations and Ph.D. theses. Dr Falola is a member of many professional bodies, including the Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition Forum, the African Growth and Development Policy Modelling Consortium, the Society for Medicinal Plants and Economic Development, and the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists, among others. He is a consultant to many local and international agricultural development agencies.
